I'm fundraising/running in honour of my sister Brianna Rose Connolly
In 2010 my 2yr old sister, Brianna was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma. My family had never even heard of this cancer before her diagnosis and although Brianna fought hard, we unfortunately lost her in 2011.
I have set myself a personal challenge for 2025 and am taking part in Run2Cure Neuroblastoma. Run2Cure is a charity fun run and raises funds for the aggressive childhood cancer neuroblastoma.
Neuroblastoma is a cancer affecting young children with the average age being just 2 years of age and survival rates for aggressive neuroblastoma being just 1 in 2.
My own goal was simply be involved in something specifically for Neuroblastoma Awareness. Knowing my family is going to be involved in this brings such unity for us. We want to make a difference to the young children and their families affected. In honour of Brianna!
